Job Description SummaryThe Lab Technician reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for ensuring incoming materials meet customer specifications through mechanical and chemical testing.Major Areas of ResponsibilityConduct appropriate part sample testingCommunicate with vendors to troubleshoot equipmentRecord and analyze dataSpecific Responsibilities of the JobMicrometers, Calipers, heat gaugesComputer literate with Microsoft and an ERP systemSetting up and running hardness testing, dimensional testing and nondestructive test (MPI)Record, report and gage test samplesPrepare and provide documentation of test resultsCut-up of test samples with Disk sawTroubleshoot testing equipment; perform mechanical and electrical work on equipment if necessaryAssist with urgent testing needs for the production lineRun product tests as a result of field failures to determine root cause and need for investigationDetermine grain sizing of specimensEnter data in database and devise necessary charts and reportsCompany DescriptionWith over 25 years of experience, SITE Staffing, Inc. is the staffing agency of choice for Milwaukee and the surrounding area.
