Job OverviewThe North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is on the lookout for a SharePoint Product Specialist/Solution Designer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This hybrid role, based in the Raleigh area, plays a pivotal part in enhancing the Engineering Application Services by focusing on business analysis and solution design for the Transportation Mobility & Safety Division and the Professional Services Management Unit.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct business analysis and develop solutions to support the division's operational processes.Design and implement SharePoint and web-based content management solutions tailored to organizational needs.Deconstruct project designs into manageable work items for the development team, ensuring efficient tracking and prioritization.Mentor and guide multiple business analysts, ensuring effective collaboration and skill development.Ensure quality assurance testing is performed, coordinating validation and rollout of projects.Create comprehensive training materials and operational support documentation for end-users.Foster communication with clients to facilitate the implementation of re-engineered business processes.Required SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Specialist.Proven expertise in Quality Assurance testing methodologies.Extensive experience working with Microsoft SharePoint, focusing on lists, libraries, and content types.Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex processes to diverse audiences.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).Familiarity with Agile development methodology and CSPO certification.Experience in utilizing Azure DevOps and Balsamiq tools.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.Experience in transforming and evaluating business processes is essential.Working knowledge of the system development life cycle is advantageous.Career Growth OpportunitiesThis position presents a unique opportunity for professional development through mentorship and collaboration within a dedicated team.
