Then consider joining our amazing team!JOB OVERVIEW:What You’ll DoLead new business placements and assigned renewals from strategy through bindingServe as a client/prospect facing insurance professional for large, complex construction accountsDesign and negotiate insurance programs, including coverage analysis and risk-related consultingManage renewals with a high degree of autonomyBuild and maintain strong relationships with carriers, wholesalers, Producers and clientsAttend pre-renewal meetings to develop renewal strategy and address exposure changesParticipate in new business planning and update meetings with Producers and Sales LeadersNegotiate renewal terms with carriers and review quotes for accuracy and intentPrepare and submit applications, proposals and supporting documentation to marketsBind coverage within company guidelines and ensure accurate documentation in internal systemsTrain, mentor and delegate work to Placement Support team membersIdentify cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities to support retention and growthServe as a subject matter resource to colleagues on coverage, markets and processesParticipate in new business development activities, including occasional travelComply with internal procedures while meeting service, quality and performance expectationsWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of insurance marketing, placement or brokering experience (construction-focused)Strong understanding of the New York construction insurance marketplaceProven ability to manage large, complex accounts with limited oversightCollaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability and ownershipExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsPositive, professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamComfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of five (5) years’ experience in a commercial insurance agency (marketing and/or client service)Active Property & Casualty LicenseCommitment to maintaining required continuing educationAdvanced designations preferred (CRIS, CPCU, AAI, CIC)Strong working knowledge of commercial lines underwriting, coverages, and risk analysisProficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems (Sagitta, ImageRight preferred)Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skillsHighly motivated, resourceful, and goal-driven with a strong service mindsetCOMPENSATION: The national average salary for this role is $125 000.00 - 150 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
