Design Researcher II - Health
OverviewParticipates in the design and execution of research studies, collaborates with teams to collect, analyze, and interpret data under general supervision, and solves problems when encountered. Supports the development of research outputs such as deliverables, presentations, and publications, while assisting in communicating findings across peer-reviewed and mainstream platforms. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to the development and distribution of research resources for firmwide use.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in designing and conducting research studies/programsCollaborates with research and design teams to collect and analyze data with oversightParticipates in the development of research collateral for deliverables, presentations, workshops, business development, etc.Participates in the communication of research findings in both peer-reviewed forums and mainstream media with oversightParticipates in development and delivery of research resources to design teams through various firmwide platformsParticipates in submission and maintenance of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols as neededParticipates in team meetings to discuss project issues, design and technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesQualificationsAdvanced degree in a design, technology, or social sciences field preferredTypically 4+ years of recent relevant experience in researchRelated accreditation preferredBasic knowledge in the following skills preferred: research methodology, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, physical and digital prototyping, academic and industry writingProficiency in Adobe Suite preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite preferredFamiliarity in statistical software packages preferredStrong graphic, visualization and representation skills to communicate design ideasStrong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time requiredAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writingAbility to build and maintain client relationshipsAbility to problem solve and apply innovative solutionsAbility to work and collaborate in a team environmentAbility to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality Travel may be requiredBase Salary Range: $77K - $92K annually – Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC locations onlyThe estimate displayed represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in the Chicago & Washington DC locations only.
