Business Intelligence Analyst

What You Will DoSupports the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of data and analytical pipelines for the Payment Services operational, executive, and control/monitoring dashboards. Monitors, tracks, and reports on Payment Services organizational statistics, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly KPIs. Applies data mining and statistical methods on data sets to extract actionable insights. Creates easy to understand visualizations to communicate information extracted from data to support all departments operational requirements in Payment Services. Performs ad-hoc data analysis per business user’s request. Understands and maintains multiple data sources and streamlines the reporting process. Produces and distributes a variety of dashboards and other reports to payment services leadership and executive teams which reflect current and historical volume. Identify opportunities to create and enhance the reporting of the control and monitoring process dashboards and efficiency measures. Develop tracking tools, enhance spreadsheet and database functionality. Creates forms, templates, logic functions and macros in support of the data collection efforts to capture operational data points from all back-office teams in Payment Services. Helps develop, gather, and document basic technical data for the departments reporting processes. Communicates critical information to internal and external customers in compliance with clearly defined requirements. Provide analytical and research support for company projects and objectives as directed by management. Research, develop, and implement a coordinated data and reporting strategy to ensure regulatory adherence for the Payment Services Departments internal and external control monitoring process. Implements controls and monitoring processes to identify risks and issues within workflows and conducts periodic auditing of all Payment Services workflows and update accordingly. Establish, develops and maintains departmental policy and procedures documents for controls and monitoring. Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.What We RequireBachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, computer science or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum of five (5) years in the financial services industry. Must be experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Visio, Access and VBA. Demonstrate working knowledge of pivot tables, string functions, lookups, macro development, and code development in VBA. Experience in participating in multiple projects and ability to work with minimal supervision showing creativity, innovation, motivation, initiative and professionalism. Experience compiling large volumes of data into usable formats. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience with Data Analysis and Visualization of Power BI Dashboards. Experience with data integration of Power BI with external data sets and systems. Strong SQL Skills (complex queries on relational databases, stored procedures, automation)Ideal Candidate Will HaveStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of federal regulations including but not limited to Regulations E, Z, CC, J, AA, UCC article 4, NACHA rules/regulations as well as Monarch experience and use of Fidelity applications. Outstanding leadership, teamwork, inter-personal, facilitation, organizational, process, listening and communication skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to utilize business process, data management and information systems skills to create, design and implement tools that improve workforce effectiveness and management decision making. Exceptional knowledge of Advanced Excel and VBA Macros. Expert understanding of Power BI, or Tableau. Ability to write and execute data analysis expressions, queries and functions in Power BI. Advanced knowledge of databases, statistics, and data mining.
