Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Mechanic

Material Handler Equipment OperatorTekPro Support Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler Equipment operator to join our team and support our ongoing mission in Washington D.C.What You'll Do:This is a highly skilled forklift/MHE position to perform a variety of assigned tasks to include those related to the maintenance/repair and upkeep of the FBI MHE Fleet. This responsibility also includes diagnosing any mechanical/electrical/safety issues and failure of MHE equipment. The mechanic will make sure that all MHE equipment is in safe and in good working standards, in compliance with FBI's safety standards and with OSHA compliance. Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a security clearance.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all MHE equipment (92 items)Complete routine repairs on all material handling equipment as required.Perform emergency breakdown repairs when needed as directed by the COR, PM, Facilities ManagerMake recommendations for improvements and modifications to the COR, PM Facilities ManagerTroubleshoot all electrical and mechanical problems for MHE fleetAdhere to Federal/State safety and compliance regulationsProvide weekly reports on equipment availability.What You Bring:Minimum 1-3+ years related professional experience in MHE and Distribution Center Facilities/Maintenance ManagementExperience with hydraulic and electrical motors troubleshooting and repairsOSHA certification required (safety first attitude)Knowledge of building machinery, conveyor, mechanical and safety systems, NFPA regulations, MHE related codes, current building, and Google platform (i.e. drive, docs, slides, sites, sheets)Possession of valid MD, VA, DC driver's license and good driving recordAttributes:Communicator: You possess strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers.Team Oriented: You can embrace the ideas of others (even if they conflict with your own) for the sake of the company and clientSelf-motivated: You can work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive mannerPassionate: You must be passionate about collaborationAnalytical: You can analyze problems and offer alternative solutions, while thinking outside of the boxWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditionsThe associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or, or electrical componentsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsWhat We Offer:TekPro Support Services, LLC(TSS) offers a competitive benefits package to include paid holidays, paid time off including sick and vacation leave, medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, short and long term disability, company paid life insurance, 401(k) with a company match and discretionary profit sharing and tuition reimbursement.TSS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
