Job Description Compensation RangeThe salary range for this position is between $350,000 and $475,000. Please be aware that the final compensation may differ within this range, taking into account the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and considerations of internal equity.Position Overview: GastroenterologistWe are seeking to expand our dynamic Division of Gastroenterology, which includes 22 faculty members, 2 PhDs, 12 clinical fellows, and 10 advanced practice providers. This role provides a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, research, and opportunities for administrative leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage in clinical practice primarily within community settings, with dedicated service weeks at our affiliated medical center.Clinic schedule consists of 2 sessions per week (1 day), averaging 8 patients per session.Procedural schedule includes 6 sessions per week (3 days total).Allocate 2 sessions per week (1 day) for academic and administrative duties.Participate in a night call rotation (1:7 call).Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Record system.Receive an academic appointment with UMass Chan, based on experience.Engage in clinical research, quality improvement projects, community outreach, and leadership opportunities.QualificationsMust be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology with an MD or DO degree.Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts is required.Proven dedication to delivering exceptional, patient-centered clinical care.A strong interest in academic teaching and clinical research.Ability to excel in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.Experience and enthusiasm for developing a community referral practice.Why Choose Central Massachusetts?Worcester, the second-largest city in New England, offers a vibrant and culturally diverse community.
