Senior Business Development Manager
Overview
In this role you drive the transition to decentralized energy by building and closing microgrid opportunities for Scale. You will own client relationships from lead to COD, work with cross-functional teams, and shape market approaches in key industries. You’ll translate market programs and incentives into customer solutions while advancing Scale’s growth at enterprise scale. This is a high-impact, hybrid-position in Ridgewood or NYC with a clear path to influence strategy and outcomes.

Key requirements7+ years of sales or business development experience in the energy industry with a track record of closing large, complex opportunitiesDeep understanding of distributed energy resources and the US energy landscape and related market programs for enterprise customersExperience selling to Fortune 500 clientsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environmentSelf-motivated with minimal oversightProficient in MS Office (spreadsheets and presentations)Familiar with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent business acumen with strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsBachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental science, engineering, or another related field to benefit a sales roleself-motivationstrong communicationanalytical thinkingMS OfficeSalesforceHubSpot
