Generator Technician IIIThe Generator Technician position supports the branch, and client, in all Generator maintenance, installation, and repair needs. This position ensures that all rental generator equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch is conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond.Primary Duties:Performs maintenance, testing, and repairs of generator systems and equipment in both the shop and in the field according to Company standards, meeting local, state, and federal regulationsAct as a liaison between customers, third-party vendors, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repairTrouble shoot all generator systems and equipment, both in person and over the phone, for most efficient way to get equipment back online with customers and other techniciansRespond to service calls in a timely mannerMaintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and proceduresProduce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely mannerCommunicates with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and accessoriesCommunicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessoriesFoster good working relationships with clients and team members by training on parts, equipment, and accessoriesBe an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest mannerContinuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilitiesAssist with stocking, pick-up, and delivery of all parts, equipment, and accessoriesMaintain a clean work environmentPerforms other tasks and duties as assigned by ManagementEducation & Skills Required:Preferably have an Associate or technical degree in diesel mechanics, power generation, or related fieldMust be mechanically inclined with 5 years of experience in generator maintenance, installation, and repairMust have strong understanding of electrical systems and diesel enginesMust be able to travel locally and regionallyMust be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projectsMust be detail oriented and organized with ability to multi-task and work on many different projects at one timeMust have a valid state driver's license with a moderately clean driving recordMust be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditionsMust be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.4-Horn Power & HVAC is an Equal Opportunity Company.
