Executive Functioning Coach
Strive Learning Solutions is hiring a part-time Executive Function (EF) Coach to support neurodivergent middle and high school students in Denver, Colorado. This role focuses on working one-on-one students who experience challenges related to ADHD, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and twice-exceptionality.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take a flexible, collaborative, and student-driven approach to EF coaching—embedding strategies into schoolwork or interest-based projects, focusing on skills such as as planning, focus, and managing strong emotions.
Responsibilities
Build rapport and co-create goals with the student
Weekly check-ins and task management strategies
Emotional regulation tools (e.g., Zones of Regulation, CBT-based reframing)
Attention and focus strategies (e.g., Pomodoro technique, use of timers)
Organization and planning systems tailored to the student’s preferences
Integrate coaching into school assignments or self-directed learning
Maintain communication with parents and other stakeholders
Provide brief written session summaries and progress updates
Required Qualifications:
Masters in education, psychology, special education, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working with middle and/or high school students, particularly those with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or giftedness
Background in executive functioning coaching, academic coaching, special education, school counseling, or youth therapy
Familiarity with tools like Smart but Scattered, Zones of Regulation, and growth mindset practices
Ability to co-create flexible, effective systems with resistant or reluctant learners
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Training or certification in executive function coaching (e.g., ImpactParents, Beyond BookSmart, Sarah Ward’s 360 Thinking)
Experience embedding EF support into project-based or student-led learning
Familiarity with neurodiversity-affirming practices
Background in occupational therapy, school psychology, or social-emotional learning
