Collections SpecialistBasic Function: The collections specialist position is accountable for collecting the maximum amount of overdue funds from customers, which may include a variety of collection methods and the use of outside collection services.Key Responsibilities:Collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented collections departmentResponsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accountsAccountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accountsProvide customer service regarding collection issuesProcess customer refunds and review account adjustments, including resolving client discrepancies and short paymentsEnlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection processPerform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable DepartmentEssential Functions:Monthly reporting to direct supervisorHigh volume communication (verbal/written) to assigned delinquent customersReconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are dueProvide excellent and considerate customer serviceWork independently, manage multiple priorities and work well under pressureParticipate in team planning meetingsMeet defined department goals and activity metricsRequired Skills:3-5 years high volume corporate collections experienceStrong Microsoft Office Knowledge (Excel, Word)Strong verbal and writing skillsKnowledge of billing and collections proceduresAccounts receivable knowledge/experience a plusStrong attention to detail, goal orientedExperience with Great Plains a plusCommitment to excellent customer serviceJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insurancePhysical setting:Call centerSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
