Safety Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Safety EngineerLocation: Welcome, NCDuration: 6-month contract with possible extension/conversionSchedule: Onsite | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMRequired Skills:• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Safety, Health & Environment or related field• 5+ years of Safety & Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment• Strong communication and presentation skills• Self-motivated professional with a proactive and team-oriented mindset• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standardsResponsibilities:• Support and promote a proactive safety culture focused on risk prevention and incident avoidance• Develop and implement safety and environmental programs in compliance with company policies and regulations• Conduct safety and environmental training for employees, contractors, and visitors• Perform job hazard analyses and ergonomic assessments• Review incident/loss data and recommend corrective actions• Update and maintain safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements• Assist with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance and certification activities• Participate in accident investigations and support preventive action development• Maintain required documentation, reports, and compliance records• Conduct audits, inspections, and implementation reviews• Coordinate emergency response activities• Participate in Safety & Environmental Committee initiatives
