Steel Fabricator/Welder

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to work in a fabrication shop and adhere to industry codes and standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various machinery, including press brake machines, plasma cutting table and a band saw. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for assembling components, fabricating parts, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities Assemble metal components according to specifications and blueprints. Fabricate parts using various welding techniques, including stick welding. Operate a press brake machine for bending and shaping materials. Ensure all work meets industry codes and standards for safety and quality. Perform rigging tasks as needed for lifting and positioning materials. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Requirements Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with operating a press brake machine is preferred. Familiarity with operating a CNC Plasma table is preferred. Familiarity with operating a shear is preferred. Understanding of industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and angles. Ability to work in AutoCad preferred. Experience working on construction sites is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
