Short-Form Video Creator (Woodworking/CNC Content)

We run Cutting It Close, a CNC woodworking YouTube channel with national reach that documents real production workflow, CNC builds, and educational content. Alongside the channel, we also sell CNC materials, tooling, and kits through our eCommerce brand and train CNC users through our online community. Our media reaches millions across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and we’re expanding our content team to support that growth. WHAT YOU’LL DO Film CNC machines, woodworking processes, shop operations, products, and talking head segments Capture B-roll of builds, kits, materials, and equipment Edit vertical content for Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts Reformat long-form content into high-performing short clips Add text overlays, subtitles, hooks, and platform-specific formatting Organize media libraries, footage, and exports Support basic ad creative testing (we will train) Shoot product clips for CIC Workshop listings when needed Your work will be featured across Cutting It Close, CIC Workshop, Facebook Reels, and paid media campaigns. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We care more about attitude than degrees. Ideal candidates will have: Experience filming Editing skills Understanding of short-form pacing (hooks, retention, subtitles) Comfort working in a shop environment around machines Ability to take direct feedback and iterate quickly (We are growing FAST) Want to be apart of a growing company with a startup mentality Willingness to learn and improve constantly Preferred backgrounds (not required): 1–3 years freelance editing/shooting Sports content, car videos, gym edits, music videos, or YouTube content Technical college media/AV programs Short-form content creation for brands or creators NOT A FIT IF YOU Want to make art films or long narrative pieces Need pristine studios or silent sets Can’t take constructive feedback Don’t want to learn new platforms or formats Dislike fast-paced environments or deadlines LOCATION & SCHEDULE In-person role at our facility in El Campo, TX Flexible scheduling available (Onsite Filming, Offsite Editing) Full-time preferred (will consider 30+ hrs/week) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Ability to Commute: El Campo, TX 77437 (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in El Campo, TX 77437
