ACO, Inc. Civil Drafter Position DescriptionCivil Drafter POSITION SUMMARY:The Civil Drafter will provide technical product assistance within ACO and to external customers.Civil Drafter ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:Provides technical support; provides recommendations on product selection, proper installation procedures, makes calculations, customized design drawings and aids when solving on-site problemsCollaborates with product competency centers to develop ongoing operational plans, developing an understanding of product line and serves as an expert of niche product in assigned marketWorks closely with Inside Sales Representatives and Area Sales Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.Elicits customer feedback to help guide future product and service directionPerforms field failure analysis and solution evaluation for production product issuesApplies technical and product expertise when addressing customer concerns or needsComply with company policies and proceduresCivil Drafter COMPETENCIES:Communication ProficiencyAccuracy/QualityAttention to DetailTechnical CapacityCivil Drafter REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a technical or product support positionBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 1-2 years' experience interpreting product design, layouts and basic drafting room practices. Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar systemsCivil Drafter ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
