We are dedicated to delivering top-quality craftsmanship through skilled, hardworking roofing professionals and exceptional customer service.*Job Overview*Smith Builders is seeking an *Experienced* *Roof Repair Technician* with a "detective" mindset. Unlike new installations, this role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing leaks and structural issues. You will be the face of our repair division, providing high-quality solutions for both residential and commercial clients.*Duties** *Leak Diagnosis:* Identify the source of leaks in asphalt shingle, standing seam metal, along with other roofing systems.* *Precision Repairs:* Perform expert-level flashing repairs, chimney re-leading, and shingle replacement.* *Storm Damage Response:* Provide emergency tarping and temporary dry-in services following Maine’s heavy snow, rain and wind events.*Requirements** *Experience:* 3+ years in roofing, with 2+ years specifically in *repairs and maintenance*.* *Technical Knowledge:* Proven experience of flashing techniques (step, counter, and apron) and sealant applications.* *Reliability:* Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to our Glenburn shop.* *Safety:* Ability to safely set up high-reach ladders (up to 40ft) and work on steep-slope roofs.Join us to be part of a team committed to excellence! xhqgsiq We provide opportunities for growth while working on challenging projects that make a real difference in homeowners’ lives.Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* On-the-job training* Opportunities for advancement* Paid time offPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* Roofing: 3 years (Required)* Roofing Repair and Maintenance: 2 years (Required)Ability to Commute:* Glenburn, ME 04401 (Required)Work Location: In person
