Job description:4 month contract ONLY!ONSITE INTERVIEW REQUIREDGIS Systems Engineer (ArcGIS / ArcFM) - UtilitiesLocation: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid)- LOCAL TO NJ OR NY ONLY!!OverviewWe are seeking a GIS Systems Engineer with strong experience in Esri ArcGIS and Schneider Electric ArcFM to support enterprise GIS platforms for a major utility organization. This role is critical to maintaining and enhancing systems that support electric and gas operations.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing and optimizing GIS environments in a utility or infrastructure setting.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport, maintain, and optimize enterprise GIS platforms including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcFMTroubleshoot and resolve complex system and performance issues across application, server, and database layersCollaborate with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable GIS solutionsDevelop and enhance GIS tools and automation using Python (ArcPy)Manage system upgrades, patches, and deployments with minimal operational disruptionMonitor system performance and ensure scalability and reliability of GIS environmentsDocument technical processes, system configurations, and support proceduresRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience supporting and engineering GIS systemsStrong expertise in:Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro)Schneider Electric ArcFMExperience working in utility environments (electric, gas, or water) strongly preferredProficiency in Python scripting (ArcPy) for automation and system supportStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a fast-paced environmentNice to HaveExperience with GIS performance tuning and system optimizationFamiliarity with Agile environmentsExperience supporting large-scale, enterprise GIS deployments
