Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical PE -Water/WastewaterType: Direct HireWork Location: Hybrid in Raleigh, Charlotte or Wilmington, NC*Candidates must currently reside in the greater Raleigh, Charlotte or Wilmington NC areasJob Overview:We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Business Unit as an Electrical Project Engineer (PE) in our North Carolina market. The Electrical PE works with the team in the development and completion of engineering projects focused in the municipal water and wastewater field. Typical projects will include water and wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations, booster pump stations, or similar related municipal utility infrastructure. The Electrical PE will coordinate with the project manager, completing tasks within a specified budget and schedule.The Project Electrical Engineer contributes and works with the project team in the development and project completion of assigned engineering projects. The Project Electrical Engineer is responsible for completing project tasks within a specified budget and schedule and frequently interacts and works directly with clients. The Project Electrical Engineer will analyze processes and systems to identify ways to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs in collaboration with the project team.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer Licensure - PE5-10 years' professional experience required.Instrument & Controls (I&C) experience including creation or diagrams, instrument location plans, wiring etc.Design and plan production experience utilizing AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and/or Revit is required.Experience with Arc Flash software such as eTap or SKM is required.Extensive knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 780.Municipal or Industrial Water/Wastewater infrastructure experienceProven experience with design of medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems including electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers, Generators and Switchgears.Ability to produce single line diagrams, motor elementary diagrams and instrument loop wiring diagrams.Experience with Electrical Area classification plan development and ability to specify electrical equipment in classified areas.Experience with Generator sizing Tools such Caterpiller SpecSizer or Cumminis Powersuite and the ability to design full emergency backup systems.Ability to review electrical drawings designed by junior electrical designers and provide redlines and guidance.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.Field investigative and start-up experienceThe ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required.Essential Job Responsibilities:You'll perform electrical engineering work including design, design review, construction support service for wastewater treatment plants and pumps stations including:Responsible for bringing project from the design stage through to completion with multiple project team members.Leads electrical team to develop electrical plans, delegate tasks to junior engineers and provide guidance throughout the project duration.Performs QA/QC and collaborates with other disciplines.Interacts and works directly with clients, conducts preliminary evaluations, prepares various reports, produces detailed technical specifications and drawing packages, and prepares permit submittals for engineering projects.Balances multiple tasks on multiple projects.Coordinates with the project team regarding RFIs, submittals, contract modifications, and other changes to the project.Analyzes processes and systems to identify ways to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.Collaborates with the Project Managers to identify and troubleshoot problems.Coordinates with other engineering departments when necessary.Participates in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as needed.WHAT WE OFFER:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP): All employees are owners & benefit from profits earnedCompetitive pay + Bonus, paid holidays, bereavement and parental, medical, and military leaveMultiple office locations to work from: Stick close to home or travel for a change of sceneryGrowth opportunities & training: Grow confidently in your career with our mentoring & training optionsProfessional development: Tuition reimbursement, early career professional program, online courses & moreWork that makes a difference: See the direct impact your work has on our communitiesCollaborative, supportive team: People to help you solve problems, cheer successes & encourage you along the wayJob Requisition # 40115#LI-KL1 #civil #hybridA reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
