Family Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

(Full-time; 40 hours/week)Location: Willimantic, CT (Medical Department)Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.Our Community - Generations Family Health Center: https://genhealth.org/our-community/ Family Nurse Practitioner Role: Provide a broad range of clinical primary care services, which will include routine and appropriate ambulatory adult, pediatric, and gynecological care as assigned.Key Responsibilities IncludeProviding care appropriate to the age of the patients servedPerforming office diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforming therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and managing infectionInstructing and counseling patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenanceDeveloping and implementing patient management plans, recording progress notes, and assisting in provision of continuity of carePerforming comprehensive physical examinations and compiling patient medical data, including health history and physical exam resultsQualificationsQualifications:M.S. or D.N.P degree from an accredited school of nursingBoard certificationCurrent licensure in the State of Connecticut or ability to obtain license in the stateValid Federal and State Controlled Substance LicenseCompensation: Base salary starting at $116,000+ (compensatory salary based on experience)Bilingual Stipend for Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency (upon passing proficiency assessment)Exceptional Benefits IncludePrimarily day-time schedule, some evenings (8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday) / one Saturday per month (4 hour shift, stipend)Medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insuranceEmployee Assistance & Wellness Programs403(b) retirement savings plan5 weeks paid time off9 paid holidaysMalpractice insurance providedLoan repayment through NHSC and NHSC Scholarship Repayment Site32 hours CME time annually & CME/CEU and CPE stipendsRelocation assistance for applicable candidatesReady to Make a Difference?
