Instead, you'll be expected to lean in, stay close to the work, and take responsibility for how the plant performs day in and day out.This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in an environment that still has a bit of a startup mentality- where processes are evolving, data is being built, and strong leadership can make an immediate and lasting difference.What you'll be responsible forYou will oversee the full plant operation, leading production while staying closely connected to what's happening on the floor.You will:Own overall production performance, ensuring schedules are met and output aligns with project timelinesLead and develop a team of approximately 100 employees, including 45 supervisors and department leadsDrive accountability through performance management, including 90-day and annual reviewsEstablish and track KPIs, building out better data visibility to improve decision-makingPartner closely with planning to stay aligned on scheduling across facilities, including Sedro-WoolleyStay actively engaged on the floorespecially early onunderstanding workflows, identifying gaps, and taking real-time actionBalance strategic oversight with a willingness to dive into the details without being askedMonitor team morale and maintain a strong, engaged culture across the plantCollaborate cross-functionally with leadership across production, planning, quality, inventory, HR, project management, and financeOversee project-based budgets, with a focus on labor tracking and overall performanceLead daily communication rhythms to ensure alignment, clarity, and execution across departmentsWhat you bringThis role requires someone who can lead from both a strategic and hands-on levelsomeone who is naturally curious, driven, and willing to take ownership.You likely have:Experience leading a manufacturing operation as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or similarA strong background in production planning, scheduling, and driving throughputProven leadership experience managing supervisors and frontline teamsThe ability to build structure, implement KPIs, and use data to drive performanceA hands-on leadership style with a consistent presence on the production floorStrong communication skills and the ability to keep teams aligned and informedA proactive mindset- you don't wait to be told where to step inComfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentNice to have:Experience in steel fabrication or similar manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or the ability to review and understand technical drawingsStrong systems and computer proficiencyWhat to expectThis is a fully onsite role based in Everett, WA. The position is salaried and typically averages around 48 hours per week. While the schedule is primarily weekdays, there is an expectation to be available to support weekend shifts as needed (answer questions over the phone).Your time will be split between the floor and the office, especially in the first 90 days where understanding the operation in detail is critical.
