Irrigation Technician

Job Description Position SummaryDAP Construction Management is seeking a dependable and motivated Irrigation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure proper landscape performance and water efficiency across commercial and government projects.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, controllers, and pipingDiagnose irrigation issues and perform necessary troubleshooting and repairsConduct routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and effectivelyAdjust irrigation schedules and controllers based on seasonal and project needsAssist with locating underground irrigation lines and componentsMonitor water usage and identify opportunities for improved efficiencyMaintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and service activitiesOperate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsiblyCommunicate with supervisors, project managers, and field staff regarding project status and repair needsEnsure work is completed in compliance with company standards and safety requirementsQualificationsPrevious irrigation installation or repair experience preferredKnowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, valves, and troubleshooting techniquesAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment safelyAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving record preferredAbility to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as neededDAP Construction Management is an equal opportunity employer committed to quality work, professionalism, and continued team growth.
