In this role, you’ll be the boots‑on‑the‑ground leader ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards—while playing a key role in the global energy transition.If you enjoy ownership, responsibility, and seeing tangible results from your work, this role is for you.Why This Opportunity Stands OutWork on meaningful, large‑scale solar projectsHigh visibility and ownership over day‑to‑day field operationsCollaborative environment with engineering, project management, and leadershipLong‑term career growth in the renewable energy spaceStable, full‑time, on‑site role with consistent scheduleWhat You’ll Be DoingLead daily construction activities on an active solar jobsitePrepare clear, accurate daily field reports (labor, materials, equipment, schedule, safety)Ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget through cost tracking and forecastingCoordinate between field teams, project managers, engineering, finance, and customersReview subcontractor and vendor bids for scope, schedule, and costSupport planning efforts including scope, scheduling, and installation strategyMaintain strong client relationships while meeting contractual expectationsManage subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely deliveryUpdate and track project schedules, including critical path activitiesPromote a strong safety culture and document site observationsUse Procore, including Daily Logs, to keep stakeholders alignedWhat We’re Looking ForSolar construction experience (required)5+ years of relevant experience with a degree, technical schooling, or solar certification OR 10+ years of relevant construction experienceBackground in electrical, civil, or wireless/telecom infrastructureStrong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and financial complianceExperience working directly with customers and subcontractorsProficient with ProcoreOrganized, reliable, and comfortable working in the fieldWork EnvironmentFull‑time, on‑site position at a solar construction project located at a Department of Corrections facilitySchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMActive outdoor/semi‑outdoor construction siteJoin a team delivering impactful renewable energy projects across North America and beyondJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56.00 - $63.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
