Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant (Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Azure)Location: Irving, TXWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant to design, develop, and support VizMatch, our enterprise search and intelligent matching platform.The role focuses on building scalable backend services, high-performance search solutions, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications using Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Databricks, and Azure.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python.Design and optimize Elasticsearch indexes, queries, and search relevance.Build intelligent search and matching solutions for large datasets.Develop event-driven systems using Kafka and Azure Event Hub.Build data ingestion and indexing pipelines with Databricks/PySpark.Deploy and support cloud-native applications on Azure.Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and performance optimization.Collaborate with architects, product teams, and data engineers.Required Skills7+ years of software engineering experience.Strong Python backend development.REST API design and development.Production experience with Elasticsearch.Kafka/Confluent Cloud experience.Microsoft Azure platform experience.CI/CD, Docker, Git, Azure DevOps.SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server).Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.Nice to HaveFastAPI, Async Python.Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake.Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi.AI/LLM, semantic or vector search.Azure OpenAI integration.Healthcare or supply chain domain experience.Mandatory Screening CriteriaCandidates must have: ✅ Python backend development✅ Elasticsearch implementation experience✅ REST API development✅ Kafka/Confluent experience✅ Azure deployment experience✅ CI/CD implementation experience✅ Experience building scalable backend systemsDo not submit candidates with only Front-End, DevOps, Data Engineering, Support, or Java-only backgrounds.
