Senior DevOps Engineer

General Info: US Citizens or GC Holders onlyMust be on our W2- no C2CRemote however candidates must reside in St. Louis, MO or immediate surrounding areaSummary:This role sits on a fast-paced DevOps team, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure) using Terraform and CI/CD automation. You'll act as a subject matter expert in your focus area, evaluate technology effectiveness through testing and research, and drive improvements to security, compliance, performance, and cost across the team's products.Responsibilities:Solve business problems using technical expertise in professional/DevOps concepts. Serve as subject matter expert and represent the department on complex assignments. Evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation. Make recommendations that improve quality and effectiveness. Listen to and evaluate customer needs to deliver high-quality, aligned solutions. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD automation. Identify and implement process improvements that maximize team efficiency in meeting non-functional requirements like security, compliance, performance, and cost.Must Haves:Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the futureCommitted to incorporating security into all decisions and daily responsibilities3+ years of related experienceHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins)Scripting experience with Groovy, Linux Shell (Bash), and PythonExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform and HCLExperience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS services such as EC2, EBS, CloudFront, S3, Route53)Experience managing end-to-end application platforms: installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying Java-based backend services (Apache Tomcat, Spring Boot) and frontend apps built with Node.js and TypeScriptStrong communication skills with the ability to triage problems, determine root cause, and drive resolutionNice to Haves:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related fieldCloud certificationsKnowledge of Content Management SystemsAutomation mindset for consistent, repeatable processesKnowledge of open source automation tools like Chef or AnsibleUnderstanding of Network DNS, firewalls, routing, and certificate management
