Supply Chain Coordinator
Description:
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures timely procurement of materials, accurate demand forecasting, efficient scheduling, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer delivery. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at coordinating cross-functional activities to keep production running seamlessly.
Demand Forecasting
Develop and maintain short- and long-term demand forecasts based on sales trends, customer input, historical data, and market conditions.
Analyze forecast accuracy and improve planning reliability.
Communicate forecast changes to production and customer service teams to align inventory and capacity.
Purchasing Support
Generate purchase requisitions and ensure timely follow-up on supplier confirmations, delivery dates, and order issues.
Track inbound materials and escalate potential shortages or disruptions.
Maintain accurate vendor records and pricing
Inventory Management
Improve stocking levels by setting safety stock, re-order points and economical order points.
Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
Support cycle counts, investigate variances, and assist with corrective actions.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and coordinate disposition.
Planning & Scheduling
Create and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Monitor work orders and adjust schedules based on forecast changes, capacity constraints, and material availability.
Provide daily schedule updates to production, engineering, and customer service.
Logistics & Shipping
Track inbound freight and resolve receiving discrepancies or damage claims.
Track shipments and coordinate delivery schedules
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the communication bridge between purchasing, production, engineering, quality, customer service, and warehouse teams.
Participate in daily production and material review meetings.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and reduce waste.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements where necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor ‘s Degree in supply Chain or operations
2-4 years’ experience in supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical abilities and experience with demand forecasting and data modeling
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
