Technical Writer II - USCG (4284)**Location**Washington, DC**Job Code**4284**\# of Openings**1**Apply Now (be.taleo.net/phg01/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=GATEWAYVENT&cws=55&rid=4284)Eagle Harbor, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay and Federal Contracting leader is seeking a Technical Writer to help support our customer in Washington, DC.**Responsibilities:**+ Drafting, editing, and finalizing documents in support of Federal regulatory actions for viewing by senior Government leaders and the public.+ Coordinating with rulemaking teams to draft and edit rulemaking documents, primarily for _Federal Register_ publications, in accordance with specific writing and editing guidance documents.+ Following templates and writing style guides to format, edit, and draft documents in line with the _GPO Style Manual_ , _Strunk and White Elements of Style_ , the _Document Drafting Handbook,_ and Federal plain language guidelines.+ Coordinating closely with rulemaking teams, which include subject matter experts (SMEs), economists, environmental analysts, and project counsels, to gather and streamline input and draft and edit documents for regulatory actions.+ Drafting and editing other documents to include reports, articles, briefing papers, in-house studies, congressional reports and memoranda, concept papers, and work plans.+ Recording minutes, sharing documents online and editing them in accordance with SME and team direction, and providing technical support during project team meetings.+ Creating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel to record public comments on rulemakings downloaded from regulations.gov.**Requirements:**+ US Citizen+ Ability to pass a pre-employment background check+ Ability to pass a Public Trust level clearance+ Bachelor's degree in English, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.+ Minimum of one year of direct technical writing experience for Federal programs.+ Demonstrable record of working on project teams while assigned to multiple projects (experience with regulatory requirements is preferred).+ Strong command of the English language, with a proven track record of producing professional, clear documentation throughout a complete project cycle.+ Expert-level skills with Microsoft Word; strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.+ Experience with Federal regulatory development/rulemaking is a plus.**Position is located in Washington, DC****Apply at:**VEVRAA Federal ContractorThree Saints Bay, LLC and its subsidiaries offer a diverse, team-oriented working environment and the opportunity to work with exceptional dedicated industry professionals.
