Warehouse Manager

Summary:Our award-winning client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team.Our client is a leading family-owned food and produce distributor with a rich 130-year history, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Des Moines, IA team. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our team. Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development. Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Prioritize safety in all warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and company policies. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for our customers. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the food and beverage industry. Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Experience with inventory control and cycle counting. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
