What You'll DoAs PerformanceManager with Fedcap Families, you will lead one of our OpportunityCenters supporting individuals receiving Temporary Assistance forNeedy Families (TANF) through the ASPIRE program in partnershipwith the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. As theprimary contact for referred families, you will provideindividualized career services to help participants prepare for,secure, and sustain employment—laying the groundwork for long-termeconomic mobility.We're seeking a leaderwho combines strong operational skills with a genuine commitment tohelping others. If you're passionate about leadingwith purpose and making a meaningful impact in your community, we'dlove to hear from you.Your ResponsibilitiesWill Include:Manage daily operations and performance ofone or two Opportunity Centers, leading a team of six to 20 staffto foster a high-energy, accountable, and growth-focusedenvironment.Conduct weekly data-informed supervisionsand regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement andstaff development.Collaborate with local leaders andprogram staff to develop solutions and lead initiatives for programgrowth and improvement.Represent Fedcap at externalpartnership and networking events, building communityconnections.Oversee quality assurance by auditing casesmonthly to ensure compliance and readinessServe ashiring manager for open positions, proactively address performancechallenges, and support employee growth through coaching andfeedback.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree, in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology,Human Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, ora related field. Master's degree preferredAt least 3 years' experience in career services, casemanagement, workforce development, or social services—preferablyserving low-income, TANF, or other public-benefit populations.Experience in related fields such as education, healthcareadministration, retail or hospitality management, or humanresources is also valued.At least 5 years'experience supervising and leading teams to achieve performanceoutcomes, ideally in career services, case management, workforcedevelopment, or social services.Exceptionalinterpersonal and relationship-building skills grounded in empathy,cultural humility, and a belief in the capacity of people.Proven strong customer service mindset , with theability to anticipate employer, funder, participant and team needs,respond quickly, and sustain trust-based relationships.Exceptional written and verbal communicationskills , with the ability to convey value, manage stakeholderexpectations, and influence without formal authority.Strong data literacy , including experiencemanaging dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to guidestrategic decision-making.Excellentorganizational and time management abilities , with skill inprioritizing and tracking multiple cases in a fast-paced,data-driven environment.Technologicallyproficient and adaptable , with experience documenting services andoutcomes in electronic case management systems (ECM and CRMplatforms) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite,Microsoft Teams, and collaboration tools such as Zoom andSharePoint.Compensation &BenefitsMinimum starting salary $60,000,depending on experience.Comprehensivebenefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, andgenerous paid time off.Who We AreOur mission at Fedcap Families is to help Mainefamilies achieve long-term economic well-being through access toemployment, training and education, and community resources.
