The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding guidelines and regulations, as well as experience with various coding systems such as ICD‐10, CPT, and HCPCS. This is a full‐time, remote position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign codes for diagnoses, procedures, and servicesEnsure all codes are in compliance with coding guidelines and regulationsCommunicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and obtain additional information as neededWork closely with billing team to ensure accurate and timely submission of claimsStay up‐to‐date on changes and updates to coding guidelines and regulationsParticipate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvementMaintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulationsCollaborate with other team members to identify and resolve coding issuesMeet productivity and quality standards set by the companyOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferredCertified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification requiredMinimum of 2 years of medical coding experience, preferably in a remote settingStrong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiologyProficient in ICD‐10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systemsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systemsAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulationsReliable internet connection and home office setup for remote workIf you are a motivated and experienced Remote Medical Coder looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position with JM Services and Consulting, LLC.
