LaborerTo assist different departments within the Company in housekeeping, shipping, maintenance and production by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Job duties may vary based on business needs but may result in generating, handling, and/or inspection of hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage. This can include responding to or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site's emergency action or contingency plan. These duties include preparing and managing hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports. Help maintain a neat and orderly plant appearance. Assist maintenance and production departments in cleaning and painting of plant areas. Drive Company vehicles to retrieve parts and supplies from local vendors. Prepare drums and packaging materials. Assist other personnel in emergency conditions. None To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Valid drivers license. Ability to operate forklift truck and other mechanical equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside-weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
