Dietetic Assistant

Will be a direct liaison to appropriate department areas in regards to patient satisfaction. This position also assists higher-level personnel in preparing and maintaining a clean work area Work is reviewed for adherence to sanitary standards and completion of assignments.Responsibilities:* Delivers food trays, nourishments, and snacks to patients in a timely manner. * Assists with tray preparation during meal service hours. * Adheres to all safety, sanitation, health, and privacy standards required by the department. * Carries items from the storeroom and coolers to work stations, and transfers food and equipment items to appropriate storage areas. * Communicates with patients regarding meal tickets, accuracy, and other relevant information * Maintains compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, and OSHA regarding ongoing required job training and health standards. * Uses proper protocol, including wearing required PPE and hand sanitation, to prevent contamination. * Maintains clean work areas and equipment utilized during the shift. * Aids in dirty tray removal and retrieval, as needed. * Performs quality assurance activities, such as monitoring satisfaction surveys. * Maintains a professional demeanor when interacting with all patients, visitors, and staff.
