This position is ideal for someone who is community-oriented, compassionate, and passionate about veteran advocacy and outreach.Veteran Specialist Core ResponsibilitiesProvides case management and service coordination for veterans and their familiesConducts outreach and builds relationships with local, state, and federal veteran organizationsAssesses individual needs and develops service plansAssists veterans in navigating the benefits process and accessing supportParticipates in veteran-focused events and community coalitionsMaintains records of outreach and engagement activitiesProvides suicide prevention and community support resourcesCollaborates with courts and attends Veterans Court as neededWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, or a related fieldVeteran status is requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to confidentiality, compliance, and ethical service deliveryValid driver’s license, automobile, and current insuranceWho Thrives In This RoleWe’ve found that people who are:Passionate about serviceSkilled at community engagementIndependent yet collaborative…tend to thrive in this role. Work is in-office and community-based, with regular travel across Clearfield and Jefferson counties.Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
