Early Childhood Educator

Job Requirements: Must be an avid nurturer that is fun, energetic and always exemplifying positivity and kindness. Must be able to create lesson plans, anecdotal notes, and anecdotal summaries. Posses classroom managemnt and organizatioal skills. Be able to implement and follow curriculum. Must have the ability to follow a daily schedule and be flexible in their availability. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Ensure safe and supportive adult-child interactions by encouraging child initiated activities and by communicating with children using positive guidance techniques. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met at all times Promote good physical health and nutrition by ensuring a healthy and safe environment that contributes to the prevention of illness and complies with government regulation Promote parent participation and provide a variety of ways for parents to participate that respects their values, interests, and resources. Participate in program evaluation, including curriculum and strategy, and be willing to restructure teaching methods based on findings to strengthen program quality or support children and families. Maintain accurate records, forms and files. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
