Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary: The Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service to Galaxy Food Center customers. This role ensures a positive shopping experience by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean work area, and handling transactions with care and accuracy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers promptly and courteously. Operate cash registers, scanners, and payment systems efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and check transactions accurately. Bag groceries carefully and offer carryout assistance when needed. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Assist customers with questions, price checks, or product locations. Follow all store policies, including safety and cash-handling procedures. Support front-end operations as directed by management. Qualifications: Strong customer service and communication skills. Friendly, reliable, and professional attitude. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required. Work Schedule: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
