Entertainment Performer - Create unforgettable guest experiences (QUEENSBURY)

Overview:Do you love performing in front of an audience? As an entertainer at Six Flags Great Escape, the whole park is your stage! You will be providing long lasting memories to our guests through character meet-and-greets, dance parties, performances, and much more!We are looking for a variety of speciality skills including; Actors, Singers, Dancers, Specialty Performers (juggles, magicians, stilt walkers, etc.) and Escorts for Costumed Characters,Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Responsibilities:What You Will Be DoingWelcome, entertain, interact, meet, greet and assist guests on midways and in show venuesPerform as an animated character in a variety of costumesPerform in a variety of song and dance shows in a more theatrical setting if selected to do soImprovise and interact with guests in characterEntertain park guests in a professional manner, and ensure a positive experience for every guestBe alert and aware of guest disturbances or harassment of actors in the designated zoneServe as a contact point between actors and Public Safety if any such issues ariseMaintain cleanliness and safety of attraction, zone, or performance venueFacilitate friendly interactions with guests who have concerns or questionsComply with all Great Escape Resort policies and proceduresWear appropriate uniform and behave in the manner that fits managementProvide the services in a fast and safe mannerHow You Will Do ItMaintain costume character standards as set forth by Six FlagsMaintain character costumes including general cleaning and daily maintenanceMaintain and clean show venues, backstage areas, and dressing roomsMaintain all of the guidelines outlined in the department and character trainingWillfully perform duties in any department at The Great Escape Resort when necessaryBe an active team member of the Operations Division and the Entertainment DepartmentMaintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team membersFollow all delegated tasks assigned by Entertainment Supervisor or as stated in the Entertainment Standard Operating ProceduresPerforms other incidental and related duties as required and assignedWhy work with us?Flexible scheduling – work as little or as much as you wantPaid trainingAdvancement opportunities xmcpwfuFree admission to ALL Six Flags parks, including White Water BayFree tickets for friends and familyDiscounts on passes, food, and merchandiseExclusive employee eventsFun rewards, benefits, and more!Qualifications:What You Will NeedMust be at least 16 years old (Team Members under 18 will need a NYS child actor permit)Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to work safely in high heat environmentsAbility to actively communicate with large groups of GuestsWillingness to speak in public, both in person and with a microphoneBe available to work flexible hours, nights and weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines
