Scalable Path is looking for a Full-Stack Node.js & React Developer to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, 25-hour/week position.Client company description:The client is a private US company operating in the goverment sector with over 120k users.Overview:A client of Scalable Path's is in the government space has just completed of a full redesign/rebuild of their website and is looking for a part-time full-stack developer in their time zone to help take some of the workload off of the lead developer. Someone who is open to working 20-30 hours/week on this project would be ideal.QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum 4 years experience in JavaScript required- Strong experience in React (Vite / Next.js)- Strong experience with NestJS- Strong experience with relational databases (SQL)- Good to have experience in Elasticsearch (but not required)TECH STACK:- NodeJS + NestJS + TypeOrm- Next.js/Vite React website- React Hooks for state management- AWS Lambda for notification requests- Queue + BullMQ + Redis- SQS Queue + SNS + SES- Material-UI design systemINFRASTRUCTURE:- MariaDB on AWS RDS- Elasticsearch on AWS EC2- Postgres on AWS EC2 for logs- Admin hosted on AWS Cloudfront- Services / Frontend on AWS ECS Fargate- Infra-as-code on AWS CloudFormation + CDK- Authentication on AWS Cognito- Scheduler on AWS EventBridgeCommunication is through Slack, Teams, email and Google Meet.Duties and responsibilities:- Work alongside lead developer and QA tester to maintain and extend their recently relaunched- Track and fix bugs (tracked through Jira)- Share daily async progress updates with a minimum of two team meetings per week (Monday and Thursday)- Clear and responsive communication is essential for effective collaboration with our team (project manager, leadership team, QA testers, lead developer).Relationships - who you'll be working with:You'll be working with the project manager, lead developer, leadership team, and QA testers.
