Job Description: Quevera is seeking a Database Engineer II (MongoDB) with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Hanover, MD. As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, you'll help modernize enterprise security by developing database solutions that support automation, continuous monitoring, and streamlined authorization processes. Working in a collaborative Agile environment, you'll design, develop, and maintain enterprise databases while building Python-based REST APIs and microservices utilizing MongoDB, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern database technologies, cloud-native architectures, and mission-critical systems that support national security while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team. Job Responsibilities:Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise database solutions supporting secure mission systems.Provide technical expertise in database architecture, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and data analysis.Develop and maintain database structures that integrate into the overall system architecture.Design and implement automated workflows that replace existing manual processes.Support database enhancements, maintenance activities, break/fix requests, and system updates.Lead the development of database structures, parser software, and database loading solutions.Develop, maintain, and test Python-based RESTful API endpoints and backend microservices.Build data management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks.Design and support database solutions leveraging MongoDB, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.Develop services that securely deliver JSON-formatted data to frontend applications.Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize scalability and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph requiredFive (5) years of experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredAn additional five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeHands-on experience administering and supporting MongoDB databases.Experience with:MongoDB deployment and administrationDatabase management and maintenanceDatabase performance tuning and optimizationTroubleshooting and debugging database issuesDatabase scalability and replication strategiesStrong understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data modeling.Experience supporting enterprise database environments.
