Senior Electrical Engineer – Wearable Audio Devices (Early-Stage Startup)Onsite – Boston, MAWe’re working with an early-stage, venture-backed startup developing breakthrough wearable audio technology. As they move from early prototypes toward production, they are now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the founding team and take a leading role in building next-generation audio wearable products.About the RoleThis is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role where you will work directly with the founders to design, develop, and scale cutting-edge wearable audio hardware. You’ll have significant ownership from day one and will be expected to operate independently in a fast-moving, highly technical environment.You will be responsible for taking products from early concept through to production, with a strong focus on high-volume consumer wearable audio devices, ensuring performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency at scale.What You’ll Be DoingLead electrical design and development of wearable audio hardware systems end-to-endWork directly with founders to define technical direction and product architectureOwn schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, and validationDrive hardware from early-stage prototypes through to mass productionCollaborate with firmware, mechanical, and acoustics partners to deliver integrated productsEnsure robust design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT)Troubleshoot complex hardware issues across development and production phasesEngage with external suppliers and manufacturing partners as requiredWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience in consumer electronics or wearable audio hardware productsProven track record delivering products into high-volume manufacturingDeep understanding of analog and digital circuit designExperience with compact, low-power embedded systemsExposure to Bluetooth/audio systems highly desirableComfortable working independently in an early-stage startup environmentStrong execution mindset with the ability to take ownership without heavy structureThrives in ambiguity and fast-paced product development cyclesWhy Join?Work directly with the founders and have real influence over product directionJoin a small, elite team building category-defining audio technologyHigh ownership, high impact role with minimal bureaucracyOpportunity to take a product from concept to global scaleOnsite collaboration in Boston with a deeply technical founding teamIf you are interested, please reach o.archer@x4lifesciences.com
