As an Assistant Manager, you are a key member of the leadership team. You are responsible for creating genuine connections that foster customer loyalty, build passion and energy for the brand, and promote a positive and growth-focused mindset. You are a pivotal partner in the management of day-to-day activities focusing on achieving sales goals and ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role is vital in helping to coach, motivate, and support all employees in achieving individual and team goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Guest Experience Leadership
Uphold and actively reinforce The Rocket Guest Service Expectation Model by ensuring that all team members consistently drive an exceptional guest experience. This includes greeting guests warmly by name, guiding them through the carwash process, and introducing new members to our offerings, all while maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere that fosters personalized service and connection.
Support the General Manager in fostering guest relationships, engaging with customers throughout their visit, and ensuring they have a positive, memorable experience.
Be the person who “rallies the team” and reinvigorates your staff to be the best in the industry.
Assist with addressing customer concerns, helping to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Team Development & Leadership Support
Coaches and mentors team members, implementing best practices to ensure that every guest who visits your location receives a consistent experience each time they visit.
Be approachable & helpful, rising to the challenge of any task while wearing multiple hats.
Always look for ways to improve the team and yourself.
Consistently provide feedback and lead by example so each team member can contribute at their highest potential.
Uphold the dress and grooming standards, ensuring both your own appearance and that of the entire team uphold a clean and professional presentation across the site.
Monitor and track site-specific KPIs, including overarching site performance metrics and individual team member goals while providing daily coaching.
Support site staffing initiatives, including interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding.
Conduct required training on processes and operational procedures for all team members.
Operations & Safety
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies by actively supporting and enforcing standards across the site.
Proactively identify and report potential hazards or issues to leadership, working together to develop and implement effective solutions.
Manage all aspects of the operation, including car wash equipment, chemical inventory, and physical appearance of the office, tunnel, backroom, vacuum area, pay stations, and parking lot.
Supervise the completion of opening and closing procedures.
Ensure all daily and weekly operational checklists are completed thoroughly and on time, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across the site.
Oversee cash and security management.
Review processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
May be asked to perform basic to intermediate-level maintenance tasks.
May be asked to perform basic to intermediate-level technology tasks.

Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
Valid driver’s license
Is available to work 40-50 hours per week, including weekends, and a varying schedule to meet the needs of a fast-paced business
Proficiency in using productivity tools like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
Experience with labor management and strategic staff scheduling
Strong leadership and communication skills
Work in and develop a team environment
Ability to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer service
Be punctual, responsible, and accountable
Maintenance experience preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, crouching, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, and extreme temperatures (both heat and cold).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Compensation
Annual salary from $45,000-47,000 annually, based on experience
Earn UNLIMITED sales commissions on a daily basis!
