Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer (Cloud)Location : RemoteJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Engineer (Cloud) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role involves technical leadership, architecture decision-making, and mentoring engineering teams while driving cloud strategy and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and architect cloud-based solutions across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPLead cloud infrastructure strategy, including scalability, reliability, and cost optimizationDrive automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planningCollaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to align cloud solutionsDefine and enforce cloud governance, security standards, and compliance requirementsOptimize system performance, monitoring, and incident response processesMentor and guide engineers; act as a technical escalation pointEvaluate new technologies and recommend improvementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field10-15 years of experience in systems engineering or cloud engineeringStrong expertise in at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)Deep understanding of networking, security, and distributed systemsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesStrong problem-solving and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsCloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert)Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsKnowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO, SOC 2, etc.)Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)Key SkillsCloud Architecture & StrategyInfrastructure Automation (IaC)System Design & ScalabilityLeadership & MentorshipDevOps & CI/CDSecurity & Compliance
