Job DescriptionCertification DetailsBLSJob DetailsIntermediate-level position providing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex cardiovascular conditions.Performs diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures using specialized imaging equipment.Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team.Conducts post-procedure reviews and ensures technical quality per department protocols.Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares study for physician reporting.Performs quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of equipment.Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research.Provides instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members.Prepares and presents in-service training relevant to assigned service area.Assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks.Job RequirementsSkill in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.Professional communication with staff, patients, and families.High level of initiative and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.Ability to work with minimum supervision and attention to detail.Core to intermediate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology.Ability to apply theory and techniques to perform and analyze study data independently.Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical assignments independently.Preferred: One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required.
