Welder
Job PurposeIndividual will be responsible for fabricating, joining, and repairing complex metal components using specialized welding techniques. Must have good attention to detail and accustomed to working and measuring to close tolerance and delicate parts. Responsible for maintaining work quality and doing in process inspection while maintaining corporate values.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSetup and operate Mig & Tig weldersWork must conform to exacting tolerances with allowances made for effects of temperature and aging of materialsIdentifying and resolving issues that may arise during the welding process to ensure all requirements are metAble to perform shop math and calculations as necessary to complete assigned tasksFollow established company policiesOther duties as assignedMaintain a clean work environment and work areaRead process sheets and drawingsLays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together according to blueprints, using templates, jigs, and precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, fillegauges)QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED/Technical Training Certificate/Equivalent experienceWork experience: 2- 4 years in weldingMust be certified to AWS D17.1 classificationCould require intermittent long periods of sitting, standing and/or walkingPeriodic lifting of materials not to exceed 40 poundsAdvanced skill level for Mig & Tig weldingIntermediate competency using micrometers, indicators, calipers, Indi-squareWilling to work beyond normal hours if neededAn understanding of both Metric and English measuring systemsAbility to understand blueprintsAbility to hold dimensional, parallel, perpendicular, and flatness tolerancesPrevious experience welding the following materials (Aluminum, SS & Carbon Steels)Working ConditionsGenerally working in production environment.Required exposure to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals.
