Quality Engineer

Job DescriptionOur client is a dynamic and innovative company near Pittsburgh, PA committed to excellence and continuous improvement. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to uphold high standards of quality and drive impactful changes within the production processes.About the Role:As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the production process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier quality and drive process improvements, significantly impacting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.Key Responsibilities:Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with ISO standards.Conduct supplier quality assessments and work collaboratively to resolve quality issues.Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and product non-conformances.Develop and execute process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.Monitor and report on key quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate quality standards into new product development.Facilitate regular quality audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.Key Requirements:4 year degree in engineering or related technical field5+ years diversity of experience includng operations, quality, etc. preferredSelf-directed, self-managed, takes initiative & can take things and run with them.Working knowledge of QMS and quality tools including PPAP, SQPC chart, 8D problem solving, ERP systems, etc.
