This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and fleet vehicles in the field to minimize downtime and keep our projects moving safely and efficiently.If you have hands-on experience working on heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, and construction fleet maintenance, we'd like to speak with you.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform field repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and fleet vehiclesDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on construction equipmentRepair and maintain equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, haul trucks, graders, and rollersTroubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrains, and braking systemsPerform routine inspections, service intervals, and safety checksRespond to breakdowns at job sites to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate service and repair recordsCommunicate equipment needs and repair recommendations to operations and fleet leadershipFollow all safety procedures and company maintenance standardsEquipment & Fleet Experience May IncludeExcavators, bulldozers, loaders, and off-road haul trucksMotor graders and rollersSkid steers and compact equipmentWater trucks and support equipmentLight-duty and medium-duty service trucksDiesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrainsQualifications3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or field/road mechanic in heavy civil or construction environmentsStrong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systemsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the fieldExperience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment inspectionsAbility to read service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic toolsValid driver's licenseWelding and fabrication skills a plusStrong problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detailWhy Join Earth Tech EnterprisesEstablished heavy civil and marine contractor in Southwest FloridaWell-maintained fleet and steady pipeline of infrastructure and site development projectsCompetitive pay based on experienceMedical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysCompany-paid life insuranceCompany service truck (for field role)Long-term career growth opportunitiesPowered by JazzHR
