Position Overview:This organization is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Istio, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software development components and a proven track record of delivering software development deployments and shipping software releases throughout the entire lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of modern DevOps practices and the ability to implement and manage complex cloud-native applications.** This person will need to have shipped software releases (Full-life cycle) using Kubernetes and Istio in a GCP environmentKey Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient Kubernetes-based environments.Utilize Istio for service mesh implementation, ensuring robust service-to-service communication and security.Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployments.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes.Collaborate with software development teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable DevOps solutions.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to deployment, performance, and reliability in a production environment.Automate and improve deployment processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance our DevOps practices.Qualifications:Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with hands-on experience in Istio, GCP, and Kubernetes.Demonstrated expertise in delivering software development components and managing the full software development lifecycle.Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications in GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) or Kubernetes (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.Experience with other service meshes and cloud providers is advantageous.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work with a talented and innovative teamDynamic and inclusive work environmentProfessional growth and development opportunitiesFlexible work arrangements
