Job DescriptionJob Summary:The University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor, Political Science. The position would begin in Fall 2026. The successful applicant will demonstrate teaching excellence, scholarly productivity and a commitment to service. Applicants with specialization in American Government and Public Policy are particularly encouraged. The successful applicant will be expected to teach introductory general education courses in American Government as well as advanced undergraduate courses in their subfield area(s) of expertise.Required Qualifications:A Ph.D. in Political Science or related field by start of appointment. ABD applicants will be conditionally considered.Preferred Qualifications:Expertise in American Government and Public Policy.
