We work with some of the most innovative brands and prestigious nonprofits—developing purpose-driven campaigns, forging unexpected collaborations, and helping big ideas move from concept to impact. Our work sits at the intersection of creativity, commerce, and social impact, with clients including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Delta Air Lines, BAFTA, LAIKA Studios, and more. We are a highly entrepreneurial, fast-moving team where strategy and execution go hand in hand—and where every team member contributes to shaping both client work and the company's future. The Opportunity As A&CO approaches its 10-year anniversary, we are entering a new phase of growth—and we’re looking for a General Manager to help lead us into the next decade. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to do more than manage operations. You will play a central role in running the business day-to-day while also identifying opportunities to improve, evolve, and scale how we work. The right candidate is both operationally strong and strategically minded, someone who sees what needs to be built, not just what needs to be maintained. Run the Business ● Oversee day-to-day operations across finance, team, and client work ● Manage invoicing, revenue tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting ● Maintain visibility into company performance, profitability, and cash flow Lead the Team ● Oversee hiring, onboarding, and team structure ● Manage employee and contractor lifecycle, including compensation and resourcing ● Support team performance, growth, and overall alignment Own Client Operations ● Oversee client onboarding, contracts, and account setup ● Ensure teams are properly staffed, and accounts are running efficiently ● Monitor scope, hours, and account profitability ● Support renewals and long-term client relationships Drive Growth ● Support proposal development and new business efforts ● Maintain visibility into the pipeline and help prioritize opportunities ● Identify new revenue streams, services, and ways to expand the business Build Systems & Improve How We Work ● Own and evolve internal systems, tools, and workflows ● Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions ● Maintain and improve the A&CO Playbook, processes, and infrastructure Think Beyond the Role ● Proactively identify opportunities to improve operations and performance ● Bring ideas for how A&CO can grow, evolve, and operate more effectively ● Act as a strategic partner in shaping the company’s next chapter What We’re Looking For ● 7–12+ years of experience in operations, general management, or agency leadership ● Strong financial and operational acumen ● Experience managing teams, workflows, and client-based businesses ● Highly organized with the ability to oversee multiple priorities ● A proactive mindset—you take initiative and solve problems before they escalate ● Strong judgment and ability to balance big-picture thinking with execution ● Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment ● Someone who thinks like an owner, not just an operator Why This Role Matters As A&CO enters its next decade, we are looking for someone who will help shape the company's future, bringing structure where needed, unlocking efficiencies, and helping us grow in a thoughtful, strategic way. You will be stepping into a role with real ownership, real visibility, and real impact. What You’ll Gain ● A leadership role with influence across the entire business ● Direct collaboration with founders and senior leadership ● The opportunity to help shape the next phase of A&CO’s growth ● Exposure to a diverse portfolio of cultural, corporate, and nonprofit clients ● A team that values curiosity, initiative, and follow-through Equal Opportunity Statement A&CO is an equal opportunity employer.
