Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at Beyond the Sea in Bolton Landing, NY. The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining high health and safety standards. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring timely and quality service, and contributing to menu planning and execution. The Sous Chef will also play a key role in creating a positive and efficient kitchen environment. Qualifications Proficiency in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and plating presentationLeadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor kitchen staffKnowledge of inventory management, food costing, and kitchen equipment maintenanceStrong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with health and food safety regulations and best practicesExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standardsPrevious experience in a Sous Chef or similar role in a full-service restaurantCulinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferredFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
