Role: Data ArchitectLocation: Northbrook, ILDuration: 6+ Months Primary Skills : Data Architect, FabricThis is hybrid role 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)Location: Northbrook, IL Data Architecture & DesignDesign modern Lakehouse structures using Delta Parquet formats and the Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).Define enterprise data frameworks to unify siloed environments across ERP, CRM, and SaaS platforms.Standardize canonical data models and eliminate conflicting data assets to establish a single source of truth.Evaluate architectural trade-offs between Direct Lake vs. Import mode, and Lakehouses vs. Warehouses.Platform Engineering & OrchestrationGovern the Fabric environment, including capacities, tenant settings, security layers, and domain workspaces.Architect end-to-end pipelines utilizing Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, and automated Spark notebooks.Optimize large-scale datasets through efficient partitioning, vacuuming, and Spark compute configuration.Lead legacy migrations moving on-premises data warehouses to Azure and native Fabric structures.Data Governance & SecurityImplement compliance frameworks including RBAC, Row/Column-Level Security, and Microsoft Purview integration.Establish data quality controls and automated anomaly detection patterns across the ingestion lifecycle.Maintain shared semantic models to streamline high-performance Power BI reporting across the business.Total Experience: 10+ years in enterprise data architecture, analytics engineering, or BI platform leadership.Fabric Deep-Dive: 2+ years of hands-on architectural experience specifically with Microsoft Fabric implementations.Legacy Upgrades: Proven history of successfully modernizing legacy data estates into cloud architectures.Thank YouSatti Reddy
