Social Media Intern

Job OverviewThe Social Media Intern will play an integral role in shaping and elevating the team's digital presence. This is a hands-on opportunity for an emerging creative to develop real-world experience at the intersection of sports, culture, and storytelling.Working closely with the Social Media team and the broader Marketing & Content team, the intern will contribute to content strategy, real-time storytelling, and performance analysis, gaining exposure to how a professional sports organization builds, engages, and grows its fanbase.This role is designed to offer meaningful ownership, creative input, and the opportunity to leave a visible mark on the brand.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStay informed on evolving social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to bring fresh, relevant ideas to the teamSupport real-time content production on game days, contributing to live storytelling moments that capture the energy of the team and its fansConcept, create, and edit short-form video content (TikTok, Reels) that aligns with both current trends and the team's voice and identityCollaborate on content ideation and campaign development that drives engagement and builds communityAssist in developing and refining social media best practices to continuously elevate performanceTrack and analyze performance metrics, including sponsored content, to inform strategy and optimize resultsWhat You'll GainHands-on experience working within a professional sports organizationA portfolio of real, published work across major platformsExposure to brand partnerships, campaign strategy, and performance analyticsMentorship and collaboration with experienced professionals in sports marketing and contentA deeper understanding of how culture, sports, and digital storytelling intersectCriteria & QualificationsDemonstrated experience and interest in social media and content creation (personal or professional)Strong instincts for storytelling, visual composition, and digital cultureExperience with video editing tools such as CapCutAbility to think conceptually and execute creatively, from idea to final productHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentA collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to learnFamiliarity with the team and league is a plus; passion for sports and culture is highly valuedAdditional InformationThis is a part-time, paid internship.
